Abstract: The dynamics of self-employment have been examined in the literature from various perspectives. There are two hypotheses concerning the dynamics of this type of employment. One asserts it is the result of entrepreneurial capacities. The other states that these are low-quality jobs that bloom in economic downturns. This article examines this topic using a panel of the seven largest countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development from 1960 to 2015. A single equation linear regression model and a vector autoregressions system were estimated. The results of the estimation of the models suggest that self-employment behaves countercyclically Classification-JEL: E00, E26, E32, C32 Keywords: Self-Employment, Economic Cycle, Structural Vector Autoregressive Models Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 1-13 Volume: 13 Issue: 1 Year: 2020 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v13n1-2020/RIAF-V13N1-2020-1.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:13:y:2020:i:1:p:1-13 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Maricela Carolina Pena Cardenas Author-Name: Adriana Guadalupe Chavez Macias Author-Name: Cristina del Pilar Lopez Saldana Author-Name: Karen Yaneth Rivera Flores Author-Name: Edith Margot Melendez Lopez Author-Name: Perla Patricia Salazar Gamez Title: COMPARATIVE STUDY OF LABOR SATISFACTION ESTUDIO COMPARATIVO DE LA SATISFACCION LABORAL DE UNA EMPRESA Abstract: Human Capital is paramount to achieving a good working environment and allows companies to be competitive. Thus, they need to promote the satisfaction of their staff. The objective of this study is to examine work satisfaction of workers from a company in the commercial sector of Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico. The methodology is quantitative, descriptive-comparative type. The sample includes 133 workers. The instrument used is based on Spector's Job Satisfaction Survey (1985); Cronbach's Alpha equaled 0952. We conclude the workers feel at ease and proud of the work they do. They appreciate recognition they receive for their performance coming from both their peers and their superiors Classification-JEL: J28, L61, M10 Keywords: Labor Satisfaction, Motivating Factors and Hygienic Factors Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 15-24 Volume: 13 Issue: 1 Year: 2020 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v13n1-2020/RIAF-V13N1-2020-2.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:13:y:2020:i:1:p:15-24 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Paulina Flores Martinez Author-Name: Erik Ocon Cedillo Title: ANALYSIS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SERVICE QUALITY AND CUSTOMER LOYALTY IN RESTAURANTS: EVIDENCE FROM MEXICO ANALISIS DE LA RELACION DE LA CALIDAD EN EL SERVICIO Y LA LEALTAD DEL CLIENTE EN RESTAURANTES DE LA CIUDAD DE ENSENADA Abstract: This research analyzes relationships between service quality and customer loyalty of Ensenada city restaurants. Our purpose is to provide owners and workers with reliable information for strengthening their companies. In addition, the research can help in developing strategies that allow firms to foster successful and lasting relationships with their clients. The study approach is quantitative, its scope is descriptive-correlational and its type of design is non-experimental transactional. To collect the data, a questionnaire was built consisting of 20 items distributed among 7 variables. Five variables correspond to the quality of service. The other two variables related to customer loyalty. The Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test equaled 0.944. The type of sampling used was probabilistic by strata or clusters. The statistical analysis showed that empathy had the greatest relation to customer loyalty Classification-JEL: M1, M10 Keywords: Quality Service, Customer Loyalty, SERVPERF Scale Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion and Finanzas Pages: 25-35 Volume: 13 Issue: 1 Year: 2020 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v13n1-2020/RIAF-V13N1-2020-3.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:13:y:2020:i:1:p:25-35 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Aura Andrea Diaz Duarte Author-Name: Miguel Angel Oropeza Tagle Author-Name: Alfonso Martin Rodriguez Title: INTRAPRENEURSHIP PRACTICES IN THE INNOVATION OF MSMEs LAS PRACTICAS DE INTRAEMPRENDIMIENTO EN LA INNOVACION DE LAS MIPYME Abstract: Companies now face the influence of a modified environment that drives them to reinforce structural mechanisms that allow it to withstand these conditions. Thus, it is important to identify and study sustainable competitive advantages such as innovation. This research is developed within the most relevant unit of study for the economy, MSMEs, where the objective is to identify whether intrapreneurship practices increase the level of innovation. The research approach is quantitative. The type of research is both descriptive and correlational and the data used are primary data. Results show that higher levels of intra-entrepreneurship imply higher level of innovation. A Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.3370 is obtained, which allows us to approve the H1 of the investigation confirming this relationship is positive and significant Classification-JEL: M13, M19 Keywords: Innovation, Intrapreneurship, MSMEs Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 37-50 Volume: 13 Issue: 1 Year: 2020 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v13n1-2020/RIAF-V13N1-2020-4.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:13:y:2020:i:1:p:37-50 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Alicia De la Pena De Leon Author-Name: Juan Bernardo Amezcua Nunez Author-Name: Juana Maria Saucedo Soto Author-Name: Ivone Carolina Gonzalez Gaona Title: IMPACT OF TRUST ON THE PLATFORM AND ON THE HOST IN THE AIRBNB ACCOMMODATION RENTAL MARKET EL IMPACTO DE LA CONFIANZA EN LA PLATAFORMA Y EN EL ANFITRION EN LA RENTA DE ALOJAMIENTO EN AIRBNB Abstract: Consumers are increasingly choosing to purchase services offered within a collaborative economy. Instead of using their own car, they prefer to travel in Uber or Cabify. They leave their pet in the care of Dog Hero, while they travel around the world and stay at AirBnB. To know the motivations of Mexican travelers when choosing to stay with an AirBnb host, a study was conducted with 330 adults. The findings indicate that the intention to rent lodging in this platform is affected by the perception of security of using an internet site to rent accommodations, as well as the level of confidence that the user has in the platform and host. A growing number of entrepreneurs choose to offer services and products on digital platforms. Our findings will allow them to identify areas of opportunity to improve relationships with potential clients Classification-JEL: C83, C99, D83, L81, M31, M37 Keywords: Trust, Sharing Economy, Touristic Services, Online Platforms Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 51-62 Volume: 13 Issue: 1 Year: 2020 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v13n1-2020/RIAF-V13N1-2020-5.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:13:y:2020:i:1:p:51-62 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Cristobal Fernandez Robin Author-Name: Rodolfo Salazar Albornoz Title: EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS FOR VALIDATION OF PREREQUISITES AND CURRICULAR PROGRESS IN INDUSTRIAL CIVIL ENGINEERING ANALISIS EMPIRICO PARA VALIDACION DE PRERREQUISITOS Y PROGRESO CURRICULAR EN INGENIERIA CIVIL INDUSTRIAL Abstract: In this article we investigate the correlation between performance in subjects and prerequisites for students of Industrial Civil Engineering of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. We complete our analysis through the formulation of a regression model. We begin at a general level, and then expand to non-hierarchical cluster analysis. The objective is to validate prerequisites as determinants of the performance of the subjects that request it. In addition, we examine antecedents of the relations between subjects for the curricular update processes. The results show that correlation occurs mostly in subjects whose prerequisite is strongly linked to the same disciplinary area, and to the level of conditioning that mastery of the prerequisite implies in the performance of the evaluation activities of the next subject Classification-JEL: A22, I21 Keywords: Curriculum, Education, Engineering, Business Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 36-72 Volume: 13 Issue: 1 Year: 2020 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v13n1-2020/RIAF-V13N1-2020-6.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:13:y:2020:i:1:p:36-72 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Irery Lizbeth Melchor-Duran Author-Name: Sandra Yesenia Pinzon-Castro Author-Name: Ismael Plascencia-Lopez Title: THE IMPACT OF ENTREPRENEURIAL EDUCATION ON UNIVERSITY STUDENTS - EVIDENCE FROM MEXICO EL IMPACTO DE LA EDUCACION EMPRENDEDORA EN UNIVERSITARIOS - EVIDENCIAS DE MEXICO Abstract: Entrepreneurial education has become more popular in education centers. We examine the impact of this education on students. Entrepreneurial intention has decreased in Mexico during the last few years. For that reason, we investigate which variables increase the entrepreneurial intention, thereby provoking individuals start businesses, generate wealth and economic growth. The target of this study is to determine the influence of entrepreneurial education on the entrepreneurial intention of students from the Centre of Economic and Management Sciences from Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes, in Aguascalientes, Mexico. We employed least squares linear regression. Results show that entrepreneurial education has a significant influence on their entrepreneurial intention with a coefficient of 0.135 y and p value lower than 0.05 Classification-JEL: M130 Keywords: Entrepreneurial Education, Entrepreneurial Intention and University Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 73-82 Volume: 13 Issue: 1 Year: 2020 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v13n1-2020/RIAF-V13N1-2020-7.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:13:y:2020:i:1:p:73-82
