The forecast for 2017 indicates a slowdown. In addition, employment mainly offers a precarious salary. For that reason, a significant percentage of the population is not thriving. This scenario demands, from the educational institutions, the formation of entrepreneurs. Young innovators are capable of creating companies that are sources of employment and wealth. In this sense, a case study was carried out in the city of San Quintin, Baja California. Our goal is to measure the entrepreneurial orientation of university students and to determine if the teaching-learning process applied helps in its development. The study was applied to a representative sample of local students. The results show that entrepreneurial orientation is at a medium level. However, despite an educational model that focuses on competencies, the results show that the development of entrepreneurial competences is not privileged. It constitutes an opportunity and a challenge in order that the educational institutions promote, through their graduates, regional development Classification-JEL: 129 Keywords: Higher Education, Accreditation, Quality of Education Journal:Revista Global de Negocios Pages:1-12 Volume: 6 Issue: 3 Year: 2018 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/rgnego/rgn-v6n3-2018/RGN-V6N3-2018-1.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:rgnego:v:6:y:2018:i:2:p:1-12 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Baltazar Rodriguez Villanueva Author-Name: Yolanda Mejía de Leon Author-Name: Rosalva Diamantina Vasquez Mireles Author-Name: Roman Ernesto Camacho Garcia Title: QUALITY OF LIFE OF WORKERS IN THE SOUTH-EAST ZONE OF SALTILLO, COAHUILA, MEXICO (CALIDAD DE VIDA DE LOS TRABAJADORES ASALARIADOS EN LA ZONA SUR-ORIENTE DE SALTILLO, COAHUILA, MEXICO) Abstract: The importance of life quality, has evolved into a concept widely used in various fields. The objective of this research was to detect the training needs of the operational personnel of a public institution of employment services located in the south of Mexico. The study is non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive. An adaptation of the workstation-employee method of Reza (2006) was used to detect training needs. This approach considers functions, indexes of efficiency and levels of knowledge required by the institution for the workstation. It also provides a description of the employee's performance. Training needs were reported mainly in time management skills and computer application management. We conclude that the literature does not fully address detection of training needs in organizations Classification-JEL: M12, M53 Keywords: Training, Detection of Training Needs, Human Capital, Personnel Performance Journal:Revista Global de Negocios Pages: 57-68 Volume: 6 Issue: 3 Year: 2018 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/rgnego/rgn-v6n3-2018/RGN-V6N3-2018-5.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:rgnego:v:6:y:2018:i:2:p:57-68 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Cesar Sanchez Ocampo Author-Name: Miguel Angel Canales Rodriguez Author-Name: Miriam Arlyn Tong Delgado Author-Name: Jorge Ignacio Anguiano Lizaola Title: COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS OF A SOLAR DEHYDRATOR PROTOTYPE TO EVALUATE ITS PERFORMANCE IN AREAS OF HIGH IRRADIATION (ANALISIS COMPETITIVO DE UN PROTOTIPO DE DESHIDRATADOR SOLAR PARA EVALUAR SU DESEMPENO EN ZONAS DE ALTA IRRADIACION) Abstract: Solar dehydrator devices use hot air flow to extract water from products. In this study, we analyze the performance of a solar dehydration prototype. This prototype is ideal for areas with high solar irradiation. To determine the efficiency of the solar dehydrator prototype, we compared its performance with statistical data from other dehydrator projects. We performed tests during October and November 2016. Performance tests consisted of dehydration of fruits, meat and vegetables to collect drying parameters, average temperature and temperature differences. Results showed outstanding results in internal and external temperature, initial and final humidity and dehydration times. With the solar dehydration prototype, we were able to obtain temperatures above 70° C, which is similar to other dehydrators. We achieved satisfactory results during the process of drying of fruits, meat or vegetables with the prototype of solar dehydration Classification-JEL: C93, D11, E21, I31, O13, Q55, R52 Keywords: Solar Dehydrators, Prototype, Efficiency, Time Journal:Revista Global de Negocios Pages: 69-80 Volume: 6 Issue: 3 Year: 2018 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/rgnego/rgn-v6n3-2018/RGN-V6N3-2018-6.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:rgnego:v:6:y:2018:i:2:p:69-80 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Ana Maria Vazquez Espinoza Author-Name: Mariana Monserrat Valenzuela Montoya Author-Name: Gisela Montero Alpirez Author-Name: Conrado Garcia Gonzalez Title: COMPETITIVITY INDEX- ENVIRONMENTAL GESTION: COMPARATIVE FAMILY BUSINESS VERSUS NON-FAMILY BUSINESS IN THE COMMERCIAL SECTOR IN THE MEXICALI VALLEY (INDICE DE COMPETITIVIDAD-GESTION AMBIENTAL: COMPARATIVO EMPRESA FAMILIAR VERSUS EMPRESA NO FAMILIAR DEL SECTOR COMERCIAL EN EL VALLE DE MEXICALI) Abstract: Some companies carry out actions in the field of environmental management to fulfillment the expectations of its customers and thereby increase their levels of competitiveness.
